Michael Waskosky

Sarajevo, BiH

November 2006

Hi everyone,

I greet you from snowy Sarajevo (it snows but the snow does not stay on the ground; when the sun comes out it melts it all). Winter is here, so it is cold. It does not get as cold as Minnesota, so that is nice for me. I don’t enjoy the cold weather, but it is very beautiful.

In almost three months in BiH (Bosnia i Hetcergovina), I have gotten to know a lot more people, and God is giving me open doors even though I do not know the language. Quite a few people know English or want to practice their English so I can talk to most of the people in English. That is good and bad; it does not help me to learn Bosnian but I can share with them my story: what God has done in my life, and the power of Jesus Christ and what He did for me on the cross. I have photos up. My website is: www.michaelwaskosky.com

Please keep praying that we move forward effectively with starting a church plant in Dobrina and starting another church in our own homes. We have just started to move into Dobrina. We are getting to know people and to reach out to them with Christ’s love and the Gospel. Because there are very few believers, we need people to come to Christ before we can start a church, so please keep praying against the evil one who is trying to bring us all down. Pray in the power of Jesus and in the name of Jesus, because he has already won the battle. Satan is just trying to get at all of us here, so lift us up in prayer as often as you can. Also pray for my English class and for the students. I want them to see God more clearly and see that the road which they are on leads to death and destruction. It’s my prayer that they accept Christ and experience joy and peace now and heaven for eternity.

Lindy has been doing a great job planning our May wedding. She’s excited about her Ecuador trip which begins right after Christmas. David is excited to have her be his aide too. My parents think her stay will be too short for them to be able to show her everything and everybody she will want to see: places where I grew up, schools I went to, people I knew, fun activities I did as a kid, etc. Pray that she will be a blessing and will be blessed while she’s in Ecuador.

Thank you for keeping Cory and me in your prayers.

· You can pray that we seek God more and Love each other, because sometimes it is hard to love someone when you live with them, they do things that get on your nerves.

· You can also pray for us as we get more involved in Dobrina and that the Lord guides the OM Team.

In Him,

Michael
